Madeline Sinclair McPherson

Well we went for our 41 week check up, a milestone I was hoping we wouldn't reach, and everything checked out just fine, but my doctor insisted we induce and sent us over to be admitted to the hospital right then. John and I were a little floored and a lot nervous, but to the hospital we went. The doctor gave me a less than 50% chance of avoiding a C section, but about 24 hours after being admitted, Maddie finally came into the world without surgery. She was born on August 27, she weighed 8lbs, 9.5oz and she was 20.5" long. She's so cute and we love her so much already. Maddie is named after my Great Grandmother and she just so happened to arrive on John's grandmother's birthday. Here's some photos from her first 24 hours of life.

Sleeping after her 1st bath.

Big Yawn!

1st Photo with Dad about 15 minutes old.

Not the 1st photo with Mom, but one of my favorite moments.

  1. Oh I love the new pics! It really hurts me to think that I won't get to see her when she's teensy-tiny! Try to keep her from growing until we make it up there... hopefully in a month or two! (And if you successfully figure out how to make her stop growing, let me know!) CONGRATS MARY AND JOHN!
