Baby Shower!

Okay, it required a new card reader, but I'm back in photo business. The shower was Saturday at Kelli's house. Thanks again, Kelli! Thank you everyone who helped give the shower and everyone that made the huge effort to get there! It really meant a lot! Here are some photos of the big day.

All the lovely hostesses. Thanks so much!

The BEST cake ever! Thanks so much, Lisa. It was perfect and SO delicious!

More of my favorites, chocolate covered strawberries and gerber daisies!

This one's for you, Jill. Not my favorite picture of myself, but really shows the baby bump! Kristi, no idea who I'm holding here, but they are both so precious!

Two of my great friends that made the long trip to be there! Thanks Lauren and Jen!

Photos Being Held Hostage

This past weekend was my baby shower in Texas. It was absolutely fantastic! A special thanks to Kelli for hosting and everyone that helped give it. I'd love to post some photos of the big day, but for some reason my computer won't read the camera card! As soon as we figure it out, I'll get them uploaded!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It was a fun birthday weekend. John got me a "floating" pool, since it's pretty much impossible to swim in, but it is the best thing. We celebrated on Saturday by sunning in it all afternoon. I chose not to use sunscreen on my legs because I wanted them to get a little color. Well, mission accomplished!

If it looks like it might hurt, it's because it does. It is really, really painful. So Stupid!! On Sunday, John's family came up to round out the weekend with burgers and an awesome birthday cake. Now it's off to Texas tomorrow for the week! Can't wait!

The Nursery

Just about everything is done in the nursery, and I LOVE it! Here's a peek, but these pictures don't really do it justice. (The walls are light pink, which is hard to tell in the picture.) We are still lacking a few things, like a rocker to go with the ottoman, a lamp that actually matches and has a shade, and one more curtain to cover up our very ugly mini blinds. But other than that, just about perfect! I had another doctor's appointment today, and everything is still going just fine. From now on, I go every two weeks. Signs that it's getting closer! We can't wait.

Landscaping Fun

We have spent the last three days cleaning up our landscaping in the front yard. It involved two huge trailer fulls of dead plants and bushes we cleaned out, actually renting a tiller, a fairly bad sunburn, and poison ivy all over my arms! It looks about a million times better, but now we need a small fortune in plants to fill in our giant, just cleaned flower beds. The worst part is there is no before picture to show just how bad things were so that all of you reading could appreciate just how much we did. I will say that in the process we broke two shovels and a spade, and had to resort to a pick axe and a chainsaw to get some of the dead bushes out. I made a couple of trips to Home Depot hoping that surprise landscape show would appear and ask if they could make over my landscape, but no such luck. Here's a look.

While John and I were working, Scrappy and Rowdy decided to take things easy and enjoy the sunshine.

Finally!! Some "after" pics

Well it took 3 long weeks, but we are finally settled in. We probably will have projects to do now until the end of time, but the main stuff is done and in the right place! Here's a look at the house after all our efforts. (You can look back at the before pics at the beginning of my blogging days.)

Baby Update

I had a doctor's appointment today and another sonogram. Everything is going fine. She's measuring small, but growing at the right rate, she now weighs 1lb, 8oz. Here are finally some pictures of her face. Still not great, but better than anything we've seen so far.
